Bridges (Dental Partials)

A bridge is a type of restoration that replaces missing teeth by using the teeth on either side of the space for support. When there are teeth on either side of the space they are prepared for crowns. A replacement tooth (called a pontic) replaces the missing tooth. The pontic is attached to crowns that cover the natural teeth and provide support for the bridge. The bridge is permanently cemented onto the teeth. Ideal Candidate:

A crown or cap is a type of restoration that completely covers the entire tooth. Dr. Burba may recommend a crown when simply filling your tooth would leave it weak and vulnerable to cracking, or when cosmetic improvements to your teeth is the goal.

Dental Bonding

Bonding covers discolorations, repairs chips and cracks, and fills gaps. It can be used to lengthen teeth, reduce unsightly gaps between teeth, enlarge an abnormally small tooth, and reshape a crooked tooth. The bonding procedure repairs and protects your teeth from further damage.

Periodontal Treatment

Periodontal disease is an infection of the gums (gingiva) and bone surrounding your teeth. It is caused by bacterial infections that attack the gums, ligaments, and bone. Although the body has some natural defenses that resist bacterial attacks, these may not fully protect the gum and bone from inflammation and infection.

Root Canals (Endodontic Therapy)

Root canal treatment (endodontics) involves the removal of the dead or diseased pulp or nerve of a tooth. Once removed, the space that it occupied is filled with a sealer to keep bacteria out of the tooth.
The pain that everyone usually associates with root canals comes from the abscess, which is creating pressure in the bone. TMJ Treatments

TMJ stands for temporomandibular joint. This is the joint where your lower jaw meets your skull. You have two of them one on each side of your face about where your ear is. This is your most flexible joint allowing for a tremendous range of motion. Because of this, if a poor bite or trauma to the face disrupts the balance between the two joints, a wide variety of symptoms can develop. These symptoms are collectively called temporomandibular disease or TMD.

Whitening is a procedure that lightens discolorations and removes stains from the enamel and dentin of teeth. It can be performed on any tooth, even one that has had root canal treatment. There are many causes for stained teeth. Some of the most common include aging, consumption of staining substances (coffee, teas, tobacco, red wine), trauma, tetracycline (antibiotic) staining, excessive fluoride, and nerve degeneration. Tooth-Colored Fillings

Now you have a better option to restore your tooth back to health! Tooth colored fillings or composites. These fillings are great! They physically and chemically bond to the tooth. What this means for you is that these fillings can reinforce the tooth.
Also due to this bonding, composites seal into the pores of your tooth so there is virtually no sensitivity to cold or hot afterwards. They also look terrific! You won't even be able to tell where they are when Dr. Burba is done.
